With deep sadness, the family announces the passing of Faye A. Murrman, 92, of Butler, on March 2, 2026, at home.
Born in Three Springs, PA on October 26,1933, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Clarissa (Nonemaker) Curfman. The family moved to Sarver when she was nine years old.
Faye was a Freeport High School graduate and attended secretarial school in Pittsburgh. She spent her entire career as an executive secretary at Magnetics/Spang in Butler.
On June 23, 1958, Faye married James Murrman. He passed on Dec. 31, 2025. In 67 years together, they traveled extensively. Faye also enjoyed reading, painting ceramics, knitting, crocheting, and monthly lunch with good friends.
Faye is survived by two daughters, Linda Murrman of Butler and Janice (Jerry) Ohl of Corry, PA, a grandson, Jerrett Ohl, two brothers, Ned (Agnes) Curfman and Galen Curfman, sister-in-law Joann Benoit, brothers-in-law Francis and Charles Murrman.
Faye was also predeceased by her parents, three brothers, and five sisters.
The family appreciates the kindness and excellent caregiving of Tracy and Fae, along with the services of Monarch Hospice.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, March 8, 2026, from 1-4 PM at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 E. North St., Butler, PA 16001.
A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, March 9 2026, at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dr. Steve Franklin of Meridian Presbyterian Church officiating.
She will be laid to rest privately in Butler County Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Butler Public Library, 218 N. McKean St., Butler, PA 16001.
