The Pennsylvania Game Commission is inviting hunters back to the woods to participate in another opening Saturday for firearms deer season.
Hunters with a valid general hunting license can harvest an antlered deer while hunters with a valid antlerless deer license or Deer Management Assistance Program permit can harvest an antlerless deer. The field possession of expired licenses or tags is unlawful.
Hunters are reminded to be safe by wearing the required amount of florescent orange material on head, chest, and back as well as wearing a full-body harness connected to the tree while hunting from a stand. A list of regulations is available through the Game Commission website.
The statewide general firearms deer season runs through December 10th with only Sunday, December 4th unavailable.
