The National Weather Service is now issuing a Flash Flood Warning for portions of northeast Butler County.
Officials say an ice jam on the Allegheny River near Emlenton reportedly broke and is causing flash flooding downstream.
It’s main impact in Butler County could be in the Foxburg area.
Officials say to stay away from river banks and don’t drive through a flooded area.
Meanwhile, rain this morning is causing some local waterways to rise. Officials are keeping an eye on both the Connoquenessing and Slippery Rock Creeks, which have seen water levels rise over the past couple of days.
Homeowners are urged to remove any items that are near the creeks or waterways.
