Floyd J. Brinks, 94, of Butler, PA, passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 17, 2026.
Born in South Haven, MI on September 25, 1931, to the late Stewart and Bertha (Norden) Brinks, Floyd lived a life marked by faith, devotion to family, kindness, and quiet strength. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Following his military service, he worked at Pullman Standard and later at Trinity Industries in Bessemer, Alabama. After retiring in 1990, he and his beloved wife moved to Florida where they lovingly cared for his in-laws. In 2006, they returned to Butler to be closer to family.
On January 12, 1957, he married the love of his life, Phyllis, beginning a beautiful marriage that spanned 69 years and was rooted in faith, love, and devotion to family.
Floyd was a gentle and compassionate man whose warm humor and steady presence brought comfort and joy to those around him. Above all else, he was a faithful follower of the Lord Jesus Christ. His faith guided every part of his life, and he faithfully attended Community Alliance Church, where he enjoyed worship, his small group fellowship, and serving the Lord alongside his church family.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Phyllis Brinks; his daughter, Anna (David) Hogg, his cherished grandchildren, Krysten (Jeramy) Genaway, Kelly Hogg, Kara (Zack) Krise, and Ethan Brinks; and seven precious great-grandchildren who brought him tremendous pride and happiness. His brother, Leonard Brinks in South Haven, Michigan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved son, Paul; two sisters; and four brothers.
Floyd will be remembered for his unwavering faith, loving heart, gentle spirit, and the example he set for his family through a life well lived in Christ. Though deeply missed, his family rejoices in the promise of eternal life and the peace of knowing he is now home with his Savior.
