The number of flu cases are surging across the country according to the CDC.
Officials say that flu hospitalizations across the country rose to 19,000 last week—up 10,000 compared to the previous week.
The number of confirmed cases also surged last week across Pennsylvania, with an additional 5,000 new cases of flu.
Butler County has also seen an uptick in the overall number of cases.
Experts with the CDC expect the number of cases to continue to climb after holiday gatherings.
