The former president of the University of Pittsburgh will oversee the redistricting of Pennsylvania’s congressional map.
The state Supreme Court announced that Mark Nordenberg will serve as the chair for the Legislative Reapportionment Commission. Two Republican and Democratic legislators make up the rest of the commission.
Nordenberg was chancellor at Pitt from 1996 to 2014.
They’ll be responsible for drawing the legislative districts that will represent the new Congressional map after the state lost one seat following the 2020 census.
