Gas prices have decreased both locally as well as across the western Pennsylvania region as a whole over the past week.
According to AAA’s weekly gas price report, the average price for a gallon of regular, unleaded, self-serve gas in Butler, as of yesterday, dropped by a dime to reach $3.25 per gallon.
The average gas price across western Pennsylvania as a whole also decreased by eight cents to sit at $3.30. The most affordable average price for gas in the area can be found in Brookville at $3.12, while the most expensive is in Warren at $3.54.
The average national gas price dropped by six cents over the past week to $3.00 which is the first-time gas has been this low since May 2021. Gas prices have been stable over the past couple of months due to lower crude oil prices and sluggish demand.
