Gas prices have stayed mostly the same both locally as well as across the western Pennsylvania region as a whole over the past week.
According to AAA’s weekly gas price report, the average price for a gallon of regular, unleaded, self-serve gas in Butler, as of yesterday, dropped by two cents to reach $3.37 per gallon.
The average gas price across western Pennsylvania as a whole decreased by a penny to settle at $3.37. The most affordable average price for gas in the area can be found in Brookville at $3.06, while the most expensive is in Warren at $3.60.
The average national gas price dropped by two cents over the past week to $3.13. This is four cents lower than last month and 31 cents less than one year ago. The demand for gas has decreased along with the price of crude oil and crude oil inventories.
