Gas prices have stayed even locally but dropped a bit across the western Pennsylvania region as a whole over the past week.
According to AAA’s weekly gas price report, the average price for a gallon of regular, unleaded, self-serve gas in Butler, as of yesterday, remained at $3.50 per gallon.
The average gas price across western Pennsylvania as a whole dropped by four cents to $3.42. The most affordable average price for gas in the area can be found in Clarion at $3.05, while the most expensive is in Warren at $3.60.
The average national gas price increased by a penny over the past week to sit at $3.18. This is a nickel more than a month ago but three cents less than one year ago. Although demand for gas has increased, the price of crude oil has decreased over the past week.
