Gas prices have mostly remained even locally but dropped across the western Pennsylvania region as a whole over the past week.
According to AAA’s weekly gas price report, the average price for a gallon of regular, unleaded, self-serve gas in Butler, as of yesterday, increased by a penny to reach $3.26 per gallon.
The average gas price across western Pennsylvania as a whole decreased by six cents to sit at $3.24. The most affordable average price for gas in the area can be found in Sharon at $3.03, while the most expensive is in Warren at $3.55.
The average national gas price dropped by a nickel over the past week to $2.95 which is the lowest gas has been since May 2021. Gas prices have been lower recently due to continued sluggish demand even though oil prices increased slightly.
