Gas prices have remained mostly even both locally as well as across the western Pennsylvania region as a whole over the past week.
According to AAA’s weekly gas prices report, the average price for a gallon of regular, unleaded, self-serve gas in Butler, as of yesterday, stayed steady at $4.30 per gallon.
The average gas price across western Pennsylvania as a whole dropped by three cents to reach $4.16. The most affordable average price for gas in the area can be found in Sharon at $3.77, while the most expensive is in Mercer at $4.31.
The average national gas price increased by six cents over the past week to reach $4.06. Although gasoline demand decreased last week, the price of oil also increased to just over $83 a barrel due to continued uncertainty with the safety of transportation during the conflict with Iran.
