Gas prices have remained mostly steady both locally as well as across western Pennsylvania as a whole this week.
According to AAA’s weekly gas price report, the average price for a gallon regular, unleaded, self-serve in Butler, as of Monday, declined to $3.03 per gallon which is two cents less than last week.
Prices remained level at $3.03 per gallon across western Pennsylvania as a whole over the past week. The most affordable average price for gas in the area can be found in New Castle at $ 2.91 per gallon, while the most expensive is $3.10 in Bradford and Mercer.
The average national gas price has risen by two cents over the past week to $2.90 which is also three cents more than last month. While gasoline supply continues to increase, AAA expects demand and pump prices to surge as well, especially closer to Memorial Day weekend.
