Gas prices have increased slightly both locally as well as across the western Pennsylvania region as a whole over the past week.
According to AAA’s weekly gas price report, the average price for a gallon of regular, unleaded, self-serve gas in Butler, as of yesterday, rose by a penny to reach $3.38 per gallon.
The average gas price across western Pennsylvania as a whole increased by seven cents to also sit at $3.38. The most affordable average price for gas in the area can be found in Brookville at $3.10, while the most expensive is in Warren at $3.58.
The average national gas price increased by four cents over the past week to reach $3.07. Both demand for gas as well as the price of crude oil dropped slightly over the past week.
