You’ll be hearing a lot about recovery from addiction this month as we prepare for an event focused on that very topic at the end of August.
Counselor Ruth Ann Durso, with the Butler Health System says recovery is a process.
She says it depends on where a person is in life and how far they’d like to go with their process to determine how long it can take.
The event is on August 31, 2017, which is National Opioid Overdose Prevention Day. It will be a day of education and a reminder to people that recovery happens.
The 9 AM morning session will be at the Government Center in downtown Butler with a speaker focusing on the recovery process. An RSVP is required for this event due to limited space (email donna.eshenbaugh@butlerhealthsystem.org).
Another presentation will take place from 12pm-2pm, with the Butler County Commissioners in attendance, Judges in the specialty courts, and testimonies will be shared as well.
