A local state park will host a local author later this week for an interesting discussion on glacier lakes.
On Wednesday, August 17, 2022, author Polly Shaw will be at the McDanel’s Area on the North Shore of Moraine State Park to discuss three glacial lakes that helped shape some of our local waterways.
Lake Watts, Lake Prouty, and Lake Edmund will be the focus of Wednesday’s session, which will run from 6:30pm to 8pm. The group will also learn more about Slippery Rock, Wolf, and Muddy Creeks.
Registration is not required. For more information, contact Moraine State Park.
