Golf’s Ryder Cup, which had been scheduled to be played in late September in Wisconsin, is being postponed to September 2021 because of the coronavirus pandemic. The decision is based, in large part because it wouldn’t be able to be played in front of fans. The biannual men’s tournament has teams from the U.S. and Europe compete against each other.
The postponement of the Ryder Cup forces a move for the Presidents Cup, a men’s tournament in which a team from the U.S. and an International Team representing the rest of the world except Europe compete, was pushed back from September 2021 in North Carolina to September 2022.
