The Zelienople Community Pool will now be open to local residents only.
According to the Community Park Board, social distancing was not being consistently maintained so therefore a decision was made to restrict pool access.
As of yesterday, July 8, 2020, the pool in Zelienople is open to members and residents from Zelienople, Harmony, Jackson, and Lancaster communities.
If you pay daily to access the pool, a proof of residency will be required. You still need to bring your own chair, towel, blanket, and snacks.
The board is also putting into effect mask wearing. Effective immediately, those ages 2 and older are required to wear a mask when entering, leaving or walking around the pool area. Masks are not to be worn in the pool or if you are sitting with your family while social distancing from those around you.
According to the pool’s website, if you do not wear a mask, you will be asked to leave.
Bathroom facilities are available but showers and changing areas are not.
