With the incoming snow storm, one local grocer is providing tips to stock up for the winter weather.
Sprankle’s will be open early Friday and Saturday in an effort to help people avoid the big rush to buy for the incoming snow storm according to owner Doug Sprankle.
“Miss the crowds shop early,” Sprankle said. “You want to miss the crowds try to get in the store as early as possible. If you wait until five or six at night that’s when it’s really busy when everyone gets out of work. If you can get there in the morning, we do open at seven, it’s an opportunity to avoid the crowds.”
In terms of what people’s buying habits are during a storm?
“They always joke how it’s bread, toilet paper, and milk. It’s not a joke. People stock up heavily before storms, and this is looking like a big one,” Sprankle said.
Sprankle said the store will also have additional staff to meet the expected increase on Friday and Saturday.
