A group of people opposing the Butler County Sheriff’s agreement with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency spoke out once again at the latest commissioner meeting.
The group has been a steady presence at the meetings for the last two months, expressing their opposition to the sheriff cooperating with ICE.
At this meeting, Commissioner Kevin Boozel proposed putting a discussion about the topic onto the formal agenda, however it did not garner a second motion from Commissioners Kim Geyer and Leslie Osche.
As of the latest information, Butler County has had 35 people deported since the agreement was reached with ICE.
