The Harrisville Police Department has closed a park after several safety hazards were discovered.
Friday morning the skate park located on Wicks Avenue was closed until further notice due to safety hazards discovered during a recent inspection after several complaints were filed.
In a released statement, Harrisville Police said “The well-being of our community—especially our youth—is our top priority, and we cannot allow the park to remain open while these conditions exist.”
Signage and fencing have been posted and after hours trespassing or during the closure may result in citations.
