High School Football Playoffs tonight:
–8-3 Freeport will travel to 10-0 Avonworth in the WPIAL Class 3A Quarterfinals. Kick-off is 7pm.
–8-3 North Catholic will visit 9-1 Elizabeth Forward also in the Class 3A Quarterfinals at 7pm.
–Karns City will meet Central Clarion in the District 8-9 Class 2A Championship tonight. Kick-off is 7pm at Brookville high school. The Gremlins defeated the Wildcats during the regular season 35-14 at Karns City.
–Saturday – Union/AC Valley will face Redbank Valley in the District 9 Class 1A Semifinals. Kick-off is 1pm at Brookville high school.
