High School Sports Scores from Tuesday:
Boys basketball:
–North Hills-62 Butler-48. Stainton Forbes led the Golden Tornado with 19 points.
–The Knoch boys won their 13th game in a row, following a 56-32 win over Burrell. Derek Lang led the Knights with 17. Knoch has not lost since falling to New Castle in a non-section game December 6th. They are now 14-2 overall and 8-0 in Class 4A, Section 1.
–North Catholic-90 Freeport-58. Jason Fredericks led the Trojans with 22 points. Jude Rottman netted 15 points and reached the 1,000-career point plateau during the game.
–North Allegheny-50 Seneca Valley-42.
–New Castle remained unbeaten, but had to go to overtime to defeat Woodland Hills 48-44. The Red Hurricanes are now 15-0 and 9-0 in section play. They visit Butler Friday night.
–Mars-63 Avonworth-56.
–Moniteau-67 North Clarion-54.
–Grove City-45 Slippery Rock-34.
Girls basketball:
–Union/AC Valley-61 Tidioute Charter-34. Maddy Dehart netted 36 points and had 14 rebounds to lead Union/AC Valley.
