A countywide event tomorrow looks to bring more awareness to the history of Butler.
Butler County Tourism is presenting its annual History Day tomorrow.
The day offers free admission to a number of museums and historical sites across the county.
There are 10 different groups and locations participating in History Day.
Visitors can pick up a passport at any location as they travel through the county’s historical sites.
PARTICIPATING HISTORICAL GROUPS INCLUDE:
- Historic Harmony – Harmony Museum (not wheelchair accessible)
- Weavers’ Cabin of Harmony
- Mars Area History & Landmark Society
- Butler County Historical Society’s Senator Walter Lowrie House
- Evans City Historical Society
- Zelienople’s Historical Society’s Buhl & Passavant House
- Washington’s Trail 1753 – Presented at the Washington Cabin 1753, 551 Main Street, Harmony PA
- The Butler Chapter of the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA)
- Jennings Environmental Education Center Foltz School
- Saxonburg Boro & Museum
