A two-day investigation at Butler County Community College has ended after police say they have failed to find anything of interest.
“The investigation is complete,” Scott Richardson, BC3’s director of campus police and security, said Tuesday.
State and campus police were investigating a dense, wooded area of campus after private cadaver dogs who were training alerted handlers when approaching a mound of construction debris. The area was not part of their training exercise.
State troopers on Tuesday used a cadaver dog from the Butler County Search and Rescue Team to search the area. That dog also alerted handlers to the same site. The area was searched and processed before the investigation was closed.
