James Daniels, 85, of East Butler, passed away on January 11, 2021 at Butler Memorial Hospital of natural causes.
He was born on October 18, 1935 in East Butler, PA, to the late Steve Daniels and Anna (Hollock) Daniels.
After 50 years of dedicated hard work, James retired from Magnetics in East Butler in 2006. James was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and gardening. When not outside, James would be found cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins. He was a past member of St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church.
James served in the United States Navy from 1960-1964.
James is survived by a daughter, Darcee Myers and her husband, Lee; a son, Mark Daniels and his companion, Jenn Zielinski; a step-daughter, Sheri Gibson and her husband, John; three grandchildren, John Gibson and his wife, Tonia, Gretchen Vensel and her husband, Shane, and Mitchell Myers; four great-grandsons, Rylee Sherman, Karrik and Cavan Gibson, and Logan Vensel; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Daniels, who passed away on May 27, 2015.
In accordance to his wishes, there will be no public visitation.
A private memorial service will be held at the family’s convenience.
