James “Jim” R. Myers Jr.

James “Jim” R. Myers Jr, 91, of Kittanning, formerly of Cabot, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. He was born in Mt. Pleasant on April 5, 1934, to the late James Sr. and Martha (Van Estenberg) Myers. After graduating high school Jim honorably served in the U.S. Army as a military police officer; after the Army, he worked in automotive retail. Jim was very devoted to his family. Aside from his two daughters, his four grandsons were his whole world. Jim was a charter member of Winfield Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed restoring old cars, loved to camp in the deserts and mountains around California, and he even drove across the country many times. Jim was the beloved husband of the late Mary Lou (Queer) Myers, whom he was married to for 68 years; father of Christine (James Dines) and Jennifer Myers; grandfather of Tyler, Austin, Asa and Jesse Foreback; great grandfather of Brody, Gunnar and Emma Foreback.
