James P. Kalina

James P. Kalina, 78, of Chicora passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025. He was born in Butler on January 16, 1947, to the late George and Mary (Minto) Kalina. James graduated from Butler High School in 1965 and was employed as a barber for 60 years and James also was the owner of Kalina Construction for 50 years. He was a collector of various things and loved football, especially the Steelers. James was known for being hard working, having strong faith and being a great partner, father and friend. James was the beloved long-term partner of Marie Kaluza, for almost 25 years; stepfather of Patricia (Dave) Thomas, Nancy (Jay) Smith, Jerome and Scott Kaluza; he is also survived by numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren. Along with his parents, James was preceded in death by his brother, George Kalina. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 10 AM – 12 PM at SPENCER D.
