Larry F. Scott, 74, of Butler passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026. He was born in Grove City on October 27, 1951, to the late Lester and Delores (Graham) Scott.
He graduated from Butler High School in 1970. Larry was a home builder who specialized in building and maintenance of log homes. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a voracious reader of fantasy novels and J.R.R. Tolkien. Larry served on the Board of Directors for the Butler Area Baseball Association, and coached youth baseball for six years.
Larry was known for being a loving husband, father and grandfather; he was a loyal friend and neighbor. He was always generous and hands-on, assisting family with home improvement projects.
Larry was the beloved husband of Sarah “Sally” (Coyle) Scott, whom he married on July 3, 1976; father of Sarah (Christopher) Kubiak, Erin (Geoff) Payne and Ian (Mariah) Scott; brother of David (Sue) and Leslie (Cindy) Scott; grandfather of Maddie and Ewan Kubiak, Isaac and Ezra Payne, Fletcher and Clark Scott.
The family would like to give special thanks to Good Samaritan Hospice, especially Emily, Macenzie and Megan.
