A distribution of food and other items is planned for this weekend in neighboring Lawrence County.
The event will take place Saturday from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at The Towne Mall Cascade Galleria Plaza in New Castle, limit two families per car.
Volunteers will load boxes of fresh milk provided by Marburger Dairy, as well as frozen meat, fresh eggs, a variety of fresh produce and nutritious shelf-stable groceries into the vehicles of families in need.
The day will also include a clothing and household items giveaway from 8 a.m. to noon for free clothing, shoes, household items, hot lunches, and face painting. This free gathering is open to everyone.
