Leisa M. Fobes, 65, of West Middlesex passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026. She was born in Greenville, PA on February 6, 1960, to the late Edward and Thelma (Sutlif) Mazurkewiz. Leisa graduated from Reynolds High School and was employed as a teacher and office worker at Sharon Christian Academy.
Leisa enjoyed drinking coffee and getting lost in a good book, knitting, painting, and crafting of all kinds. She was a lifelong member of Sharon Baptist Church in Hermitage, PA and ministering to others in the Craft Hut at Slippery Rock Baptist Camp. She was known for being kind, quick-witted, wise, creative, artistic and a wonderful listener.
Leisa was the beloved wife of Ernest Fobes, whom she married on May 22, 1981; mother of Aaron (Alyssa) and Mark (Lindsay) Fobes; grandmother of Lily, Hannah, Sadie and Malachi Fobes, she is also survived by her nieces, Mary, Sharon, Suzy and Amanda. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Gary and Marty Mazurkewiz.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, February 1, 2026, from 11 AM- 1PM at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 NEW CASTLE RD. BUTLER, PA 16001. WWW.SPENCERDGEIBEL.COM. A prayer service will immediately in the funeral home. Burial will be held privately.
