Leonard “Len” Farr Jr, 78, of Butler passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2026. He was born in Mobile, AL on March 9, 1947, to the late Leonard Sr and Lillie (Kennard) Farr. Len served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam.
He attended BC3 and after 27 years retired from Callery Chemical Division of Mine Safety Appliances. Len was known for his great sense of humor, massive sweet tooth and was never afraid to speak his mind. He was an avid Steelers and Penguins fan. Len enjoyed fishing and sitting on the porch listening to music. In his younger years he was involved in cub scouts and coached pee-wee baseball for his sons.
Len was the beloved husband of Jane (Beach) Farr, since their marriage on October 22, 1969; father of Jody (Amy) Farr, Jeremy (Marcy) Farr and Sarah (Robert) Kasenter; grandfather of Nathan, Maura, Ryan, Amanda and Matthew; he is also survived by his dog, Philby. Along with his parents, Len was preceded in death by his siblings, Maryann Eaker, Dorothy Hadad and Ruth Higdon.
