Local veteran organizations are invited to apply for assistance from a statewide grant program.
The Veterans Trust Fund which is administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs is now accepting applications through December 19th.
This money will be used to support and expand outreach services to veterans across our county as well as sustain nonprofit organizations with similar goals. A TEAMS meeting will be held tomorrow (11/12) at 11 a.m. with more information about grant guidelines. Email ra-mvvettrustfund@pa.gov to receive the link.
Earlier this year the Butler County Office of Veterans Affairs and Robin’s Home both received funding through this program.
A total of over $8 million in grants over the last 12 years has been made possible through voluntary $3 donations from motorists who apply for or renew a drivers license, photo ID, or motor vehicle registration. This fund also receives proceeds from the sale of Honoring Our Veterans license plates.
