WVU Medicine is inviting residents to an event this weekend spotlighting lung cancer screenings.
The annual Lung Cancer Awareness Walk will take place tomorrow (Saturday) at the main Campus of Butler County Community College. Check-in begins at 9 a.m. with a walk open to all ages kicking off at 10.
Registration is free and the day will include music from The Rock Station 97.7, refreshments, snacks. educational resources, kids’ activities, basket raffles, and the opportunity for connection.
Physicians and staff will be on hand to share information and answer questions. Proceeds will benefit advanced technology and equipment at Butler Memorial Hospital as well as education about the dangers of tobacco and increasing awareness of lung cancer screenings.
