The Pennsylvania Attorney General’s office has charged a Butler man with fraud after he allegedly attempted to commit insurance fraud.
On October 9, 22-year-old Jordan Plunkard reported to his insurance provider he had hit a deer. But police say on October 2, Plunkard signed up for additional car insurance coverage.
Following an investigation, police found the pictures of the car damage happened on October 2nd. When presented this information, Plunkard told police that’s when the accident happened.
Plunkard was charged with fraudulently insurance claim and theft by deception. A nonmonetary bail was set.
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for July 14.
