A West Sunbury man is facing charges after he allegedly assaulted an officer called to a domestic disturbance in Clay Township.
On Saturday, police were called to the 100 block of Casper Lane for a domestic incident involving 37-year-old Mitchell Ferguson.
When officers arrived on scene it was discovered an arrest warrant had been issued by Lawerence County for Ferguson.
As officers were placing Ferguson under arrest, police say he allegedly kicked an officer in the face.
Ferguson was eventually taken into custody and placed in the Butler County Prison on $50,000 bond and has been charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, resisting arrest, and harassment.
