Butler Township Police have released more information after a vehicle crashed into a restaurant last week.
Last Tuesday just after 11:30 a.m., police were called to the Applebee’s in the Butler Crossing Plaza. When crews arrived on scene, they found a vehicle near the front door of the restaurant.
According to Township Police, 78-year-old David Cavanaugh of Butler collided with a vehicle driven by 81-year-old Paul Dau of Butler after overcompensating a right turn in the parking lot.
After the crash, Cavanaugh’s vehicle did not stop and went into the Applebee’s parking lot before hitting the restaurant.
No injuries were reported on the scene and Cavanaugh was charged with a DUI and other offenses.
