A Butler man is facing charges after he allegedly abused his child.
On February 19th, police were called to Butler Memorial Hospital when hospital staff called about a one-year-old with abrasions on her neck, which can be due to physical abuse.
Police say 23-year-old Joshua Davis was home alone with the child for four hours. Davis initially told police he was unaware of the injuries, but later admitted he may have caused the injury.
Davis allegedly admitted to being under the influence of alcohol when he took a scarf off too quickly off the child. Davis also admitted he should not have been watching the child while under the influence.
Davis have been charged with endangering the welfare of children and was released on nonmonetary bail.
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for April 20th.
