A Butler County man is facing charges following an incident over the weekend in Clinton Township.
According to State Police, shortly after midnight on Sunday, December 22nd, a homeowner on Anderson Road heard a noise out by the road and found that a vehicle had crashed into her mailbox.
Troopers determined that 40-year-old Jason Armour of Sarver was the driver of the vehicle which was traveling too fast around a curve. Armour allegedly fled the scene without stopping to provide information.
No injuries were reported but a photo of the vehicle’s license plate by the owner of the mailbox helped police identify Armour. He will be charged with failure to drive at a safe speed.
