A Butler man is facing multiple charges following an incident in Center Township last weekend.
According to State Police, troopers were dispatched to a residence on LaRay Drive Saturday shortly before midnight for reports of a man with a pistol threatening to shoot “everyone”.
Police were able to get two other people evacuated from the residence and began a negotiation with the unnamed 53-year-old man who was allegedly intoxicated and suicidal.
After some time, the man agreed to leave the house and did so covered in blood. He was treated for self-inflicted knife wounds. A bloody pistol was found on the front porch. The man will face charges including terroristic threats, simple assault, and illegal firearm possession.
