Both the Mars high school lacrosse teams have reached the WPIAL championship matches:
–The Mars boys defeated Hampton 15-9 to reach the WPIAL Class 2A title game. They will meet South Fayette in the title game later this week.
–The Mars girls have also reached the WPIAL championship game after defeating South Fayette 14-11. They get Quaker Valley in the title game.
