A Mars man is facing charges after he allegedly committing multiple thefts and sharing private photos.
On October 8, police were called to National Tire and Battery (NTB) for an employee who allegedly stole intended deposits and money from a customer.
Police say 26-year-old Brandon Bartolomeo was given $778 to deposit. According to banking records deposits were never made. An audit also found $243 missing from the cash drawer as well. A total of $1,021 is alleged to have been stolen.
Bartolomeo is also accused of fraudulently telling a customer they needed four new tires and could only accept payment from a check. Two weeks later, Bartolomeo returned to the customer’s home asking for another check, claiming the first was damaged. Bartolomeo was then fired and reported to the police after a complaint from the customer.
During the investigation it was also discovered that Bartolomeo, while using a coworker’s phone, sent a private picture of the colleague’s partner to his phone and then claimed to have an affair with the co-workers partner.
He’s facing several charges including unlawful use of a computer and retail theft.
