A local school district is spreading a message of inclusion through an observance today.
As part of National Spread the Word Day, all students and staff members of the Mars Area School District are encouraged to wear the color blue.
Doing so demonstrates that words matter and people with intellectual and developmental disabilities should no longer face discrimination.
The National Spread the Word Campaign was established in 2009.
