Mary Doria Roccki, 95, of Butler, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2025, at Concordia at Cabot in the presence of her loving, heartbroken family.
Mary was born in Butler on Dec. 19, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Frank Doria and Anna Leone Doria.
Mary was a licensed practical nurse who worked for Dr. Edward L. Sutton for 30 years. She later was employed as a school crossing guard.
She was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.
One of her favorite pastimes was spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She loved to play bingo and she especially enjoyed music, particularly the music of Dean Martin. Other activities she enjoyed in life were bicycling, swimming, dancing, playing softball and playing the casino slots.
Mary is survived by two sons, Louis D. Roccki, Jr., and his wife, Lisa, of Noblesville, Ind., and Dominick J. Roccki and his wife, Lisa, of Langhorne, Pa.; one daughter, Carol Manuel, of Butler; six grandchildren, Brandon, Joshua, Jeremy, Jenna, Kayla, and Hannah; two great-grandchildren, Brielle and Isla; and two brothers-in-law, Larry Thomas, of Pittsburgh and Darwin Whitehead, of Circleville, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Louis D. Roccki, Sr., who passed away June 9, 2015; one son, Michael Roccki, who passed away Oct. 8, 1987; her son-in-law, Jim Manuel, who passed away Aug. 27, 2009; one brother, Charles Doria; and two sisters, Rose Whitehead and Anna Mae Thomas.
Friends will be received in the Martin Funeral Home South Side, 429 Center Ave., Butler, on Friday, Oct. 3, from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Oct. 4, at 10 a.m. at All Saints Parish, St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 429 Center Ave., Butler, with the Rev. Kevin C. Fazio officiating.
Burial will take place in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
