The Pennsylvania Department of Health has provided an update on measles cases in Pennsylvania.
The DOH is reporting 36 new measles cases over the past week.
In total, 767 people have been infected, 150 people have been hospitalized, 38 counties have at least one reported case, now four people have had a measles-associated death, and four vaccinated people have been infected, but that makes up less than one percent of cases.
The children’s hospital of Philadelphia has also reported cases inside of its intensive care unit.
Health officials advise everyone over the age six to be fully vaccinated with both doses to drastically reduce chances of hospitalization. More information can be found online through the state website’s Measles Dashboard.
