The open enrollment period for Medicare opens today.
Enrollment will be open until December 7 and will take effect on starting next year.
Some of the new changes for Medicare will be a $2,100 out of pocket price cap for prescription drugs, prescription payment plan for drug costs, and price reductions for certain prescription drugs.
The Pennsylvania Department of Human Resources offer free health benefits counseling through Pennsylvania Medicare Education and Decision Insight, known as PA MEDI. Information on PA MEDI can be found at the Area Agency on Aging.
