Michael “Skinny/Mike” Kennedy, 52, of Mars passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. He was born in Butler on June 20, 1974, to Frank and Martha (Snyder) Kennedy. Mike graduated from Knoch High School and furthered his education at Grove City College, then BC3 and finally at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Mike was a Controller for Mutual Aid Ambulance Service of Greensburg.
In his younger years, he played soccer for various teams. Mike was a big sports fan; he liked any sport related to Penn State. His favorite teams were Manchester United, San Fransico 49ers and the New York Yankees.
Mike was known for putting everyone before himself. He would always send positive and uplifting birthday and holiday messages. He enjoyed attending family reunions, loved hard and the love he gave us will live on forever.
Mike was the beloved husband of Jennifer (Hindman) Kennedy, whom he recently married after 20 years together; stepfather of Alex Kornrumpf; brother of Chris (Bonnie) Kennedy and Kelly (Aurn) Noronha; uncle of Nathan and Katelyn Kennedy, Eli Brown, Joshua and Julia Noronha.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, from 1-3 and 5-7 PM at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 NEW CASTLE RD. BUTLER, PA 16001.
