A local state park will welcome guests later this week for an event focusing on an interesting bird.
On Thursday (tomorrow) the park naturalist at Moraine will meet participants to discuss hovering hummingbirds and how enthusiasts can feed these small birds in their own backyard.
Visitors will meet the park naturalist at Pavilion seven at the McDanel’s Launch Area on the North Shore for Wednesday’s event, which is expected to run from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Following the discussion, attendees will be able to construct a trellis to grow native flowers. The cost is $20 cash at the event and pre-registration is required through the DCNR Calendar of Events website.
