Butler County Community College has chosen a longtime member of their team to take over an administrative position.
After a national search, William “Jake” Friel has been named as Vice President for Administration and Finance. This is one of three VP positions at BC3.
Since beginning at BC3 nearly 30 years ago, Friel has served as controller, completed numerous successful audits, overseen million-dollar construction projects, and managed operating budgets of tens of millions. This new position includes preparing annual budgets, supervising employees that manage finances, and liaison with various governmental agencies about financial aspects of the college.
Friel took over in an interim capacity for James A. Hrabosky who had been in that role since 2008 and stepped down in September to take a position with Armco Credit Union.
