A new state house bill will look to provide regulatory guidelines for funeral homes completing pet cremations.
After a Pittsburgh pet cremator is accused of deceiving pet owners, one state lawmaker is looking to pass legislation that will create regulations to protect pet owners at a vulnerable time.
House Bill 1750 would create a penalty for funeral home director when they misrepresent the animal remains given back to the owners.
The bill currently is sitting in house committees awaiting the house return to voting days in September.
