The Butler Township Planning Commission has recommended approval of the second phase of a housing development in the Highfield area.
After hearing from the developer of the 39 acre Highfield Trails plan on South Duffy and Highfield Roads, the commissioners gave final approval for phase two of the 100 unit plan which is 25 single family homes.
Construction on phase one of the cluster development began about two years ago and 25 of the houses that are part of that phase have already been sold.
Butler Township Commissioners could take action on granting final approval to the second phase at their next meeting later this month. This could result in paving the rest of the roadway within the development later this year.
